Winglie Government

Recently the Winglies and their entire society have been laid to waste. Aero and Pharn are now nothing but barren plains in Sohar. Feitro is soon to join them. Most of the important people of the Winglie government escaped Aero for Feitro, but even there the Grand Winglie was killed by an assassin.

This is what the once-proud Winglie government used to look like.

Aero

The undisputed head of Winglie Power lies in Aero, where all decisions are made. This is where all the big wings get together and figure out what's what.

Of course one self-proclaimed maniac isn't the one who makes the decisions, rather it is a group of communally-declared maniacs, or councilmen, whom the decisions lie. These people are The Minister of Education, The Minister of Economy, The Diplomat of Military Intelligence, The Overseer of Labor, The Efficiency Expert (An often cumbersome position), The Grand Winglie, and whoever the Grand Winglie brings in to help advise him or her.

Each of these persons is chosen in an election which covers all three Winglie cities, with the exception of The Diplomat of Military, and The Overseer of Labor, who are voted exclusively from Feitro and Pharn, respectively.

From these positions all manners of decisions are made, spawned by questions individuals make, ideas brought up by individual councilmen, and whatever else might bring up concerns. The council will discuss everything, national budget, immigration, warfare, whether that candelabra should be replaced, literally everything.

Feitro

The undisputed fist of the Winglie Power lies in Feitro, where those decisions are enforced.

Feitro is not, as a local warrior by the name of Pedro Baroma said, "Full of that pansy, diplomacy and laziness, those Aerofeathers got." Rather, they have a less in depth approach. Sure, there are merchants and cooks and whatnot in Feitro, but 95% of the adult population are military. From the time they finish school until the time their wings become brittle almost all of them willingly enter the armed services. Due to their "talents" above other races the Winglies fight in a unique manner to which there has yet to be an adequate defense against. Though some of this Air force uses things like pikes and spears, a large amount just resort to battle axes and swords.

On a related note this sense of military action has led to Feitro becoming something of an artificial mountain, with walls so large an airship would explode before reaching the top.

"Have you ever imagined an axe being thrown at your head? Imagine instead of that, the axe is being steered by a giant of a man, who wants your head on the ground... nobody screws with the Feitro military." - Pedro Baroma, lieutenant -

Pharn

The often disputed rest of the body of Winglie Power is known as Pharn, where the decisions get put into action.

"No respect, we get no respect at all," - Jesla Torres, House Builder -

This is often the motto for the majority of the Pharn popultion. Approximately 3/5ths of the population work for the government, and a large amount of the rest work for the people who work for the government. Pharn citizens often spend time away from their homes, building walls, roads, houses, and other such things, in Feitro or Aero, and in response to this, their own city is a mess. Trash in the street, badly designed, all kinds of things. The engineers and geniuses who want their city smelling nice seem to live in Aero, so Pharn has become a stinking mess of a city. The people are dirty, and often bitter. They are also living in constant surveillance by a detachment of Feitro Soldiers, numbering about 100.

The single escape most Pharnians have is alcohol. With that in mind it's widely known that no work goes on in all of Sohar any time after the sun sets. Or on the third day of every week, which was declared a local holiday in Pharn, known politely as "Jhurry" but more commonly as, "Boozeday."

This is the only thing that keeps Pharnians' "spirits" up, so it is tolerated to an extent.

In the World

Local decisions of the Winglie Kingdom has spawned a worldwide equality movement, to get Winglies back into the limelight. A large amount of Winglie heads have returned, but on some rare occasions certain cities have recognized them, and have even gone so far as to set up embassies. Two such cities are Sha-Liden and New Siber, where talk of trade has begun.

Current Government

The Current government officials are as follows:

The Grand Winglie
: Jared Harona, a former judge who received the position under Marshal Law when the Seeker Organization attacked the city.

The Minister of Education
: Humphrey Willard, An absent minded old fool who somehow managed to be mistaken for a body during the invasion, when he'd just fallen asleep in the library again, he's rumored to be over 100 years old, and some wonder whether he's alive or not, just hasn't realized it.

The Minister of Economy
: Reginald Parthro, a fairly powerful air mage who was taken hostage during the war. Though he often does not discuss topics that his post demands, he is quite knowledgeble in almost all subjects.

The Diplomat of Military Intelligence
: Kralta Ortega, The successor of Nache Jerrosul, who died in the Seeker war. Kralta got the position for his brash thinking, rough manners, and general Feitroness.

The Overseer of Labor
: Abigail Linnag, A fair looking woman in her forties, seems somewhat older than she is due to growing up in then rough streets of Feitro, and a lot of drinking. She gets along quite well with the head advisor.

The Efficiency Expert
: Valeria Banner, A beautiful young Winglie who has been rumored to not care about relationships in the slightest. Forces her opinions down everyone's throats, and will only bow down to the Grand Winglie, grudgingly at that.

Head Winglie Advisors
: Selt, a former Seeker, of all things, swore his allegiance, at spellpoint, to the Minister of Economy. His knowledge of the world, and corruption has led him to be an invaluable aspect of the government within just a few weeks, he also gets drunk with Ms. Linnag most every night.
