This is a list of all of the races on the world of Fou Lu.
Click on the name of the race for a more in-depth description.

Abhor - These small, ravenous people often hide underground in small clans. Their size barely reaches four and half
feet. The Abhor's noses and ears are often are long and pointed. Though these creatures of
the night are often called the "rat people" because of their treacherous and
untrusting ways, they resemble lizards more than mice. Many of the Abhor have jobs as
thieves or mercenaries, even though their strength is weak.
Dwarves - Short and Stout, they are a conceited race, in the fact that they don't care much for the outer world beyond
their own cities. Dwarves value knowledge and are known for their tremendous craftmanship,
especially in weapons. They are not extrodinarily fast, as their height does not allow
them to have long legs, however, they are very bulky and their strength is usually 1.5
times that of a human. A good description would be for a dwarf might be about 4 feet at
tallest, and usually about 2.5 feet from shoulder to shoulder. Their arms are huge, in
that they work hard in mines and such and don't have much else to exercise ( their legs
are very small and thick, so don't expect them to kick anything. Hard to knock off their
feet). They live in moutain ranges and like being underground. They are very spiteful and
tempermental, loving solitude amongst each other.
Elves - Tall, kind of thin fellows. Usually overly pretty, suave, and old as sin. Elves apparantly don't die of old age. It's a curious thing, some people think they die but it's never been proven and the elves don't
say. The reason for this is because Elves are pompous, arrogant, holier-than-thou jackasses. They spit at almost all of the other races. Elves tend to be very well educated and proper, and most regular men can't stand to be near them. They often live in the trees, and although eternal, there aren't that many of them. An occasional elf will leave the hoard because they realize what bastards they really are.
The Hands - These fabled creatures were created when the Gods were awoken from their oblivious slumber by the Battle of the Apocalypse, when Rein and Nol collided upon the battlefield. The Hands can take the form of just about anything, from faeries to trees to insects, to creatures just a little different from those typically found about. Most people don't know these creatures even exist, as they are not to interfere in the world around them, but to subtly guide the outcomes of various events. Most will never even know there was any such involvement.
Human - This race fills the world
of Fou Lu. The humans are the most popular of the races, and the best known. Though
thought as average people, many men and women have stood up to the stereotypical looks
from the other races. . Showing the human's true strength.
Ogrin - Of which there are two offshoots that currently exist: Goblins and Ogres. While Goblins are incredibly diminutive
and weak, their brains are swift and very, very calculating; enough so to see that the
large, unbelievably strong, unbelievably stupid Ogres are powerful allies. The Ogres view
the Goblins as something like little brothers, and it is not uncommon for a Goblin and
Ogre to be raised together from childhood. Even at such an early age, they work well
together. For an example, most of the gangs of the larger cities, those equipped with
airship kiosks, are run by Ogre-Goblin teams, along with a good deal of schoolyard
bullying rings.
Tersids-Cave dwellers,
hollowers of giant caverns, and builders of the amazing cities which lie within. They were
unknown for many years, until made aware of life on the surface by the Battle of the
Apocalypse. Very little is known about them, really, other than their eyes don't take
sunlight well, and they all worship the power who was said to have created all else,
Primus. They are entirely a Psychic race, very intelligent and magically strong, but rare
above ground.

The following races, while they can be found throughout Fou Lu's history, are no longer playable in stories. The Dragina disappeared long ago, and the Winglies were all but eradicated during the Seeker War. All writers are more than welcome to make mention of these races in historical terms, but they are not, under any circumstances, allowed to be written about in the present Fou Lu.
Dragina - The predecessors of the mighty dragons. This race has diminished and faded away into near extinction. Now, only two Dragina remain; twins. Their body is human-like, slightly taller, stronger, and faster. In most cases, the Dragina skin is pale and scaly in random places. Rigid bumps running down the center of the back show the spine. Two wings rip from their shoulderblades. This race is one of the few that can fly. Once, it was rumored that the dragina could transform into their ancestors, the dragons. That rumor has been crushed by reality. They can.
Winglies - This race of winged men and women are quickly diminishing. They were created at the end of the Third World by twisted Human magics. They have been cursed ever since. It seems the curse is coming to bear, as their numbers dwindle daily. Soon the Winglies will become legends and old wives tales, nothing more.
Nakai - Commonly known as "the second most arrogant thing on the planet", they are seen as aloof, insensitive creatures with an aversion to light (though these are all just personally preference to some). They are renowned as assassins or bodyguards, and many have set up successful schools on these areas of training. They are considered religious nuts, as many have founded local chapters of Aidon on Dzanator, or Thanatos on Ercus. This loyalty would seem to present a disconnect between religion and occupation, but this is their main blind spot in their services. Nakai are disliked by the average people, but once you get to know them, they can be as friendly as can be.
