Opus Nii

Base: The main research headquarters is based in the capital of the Derendil Empire, Sha-Liden, they have sites on most of the major mountains in deisach, including Dio's Tower, Mt. Alassus, and Mt. Bram, for gathering of ores.

Description: Opus Nii, formed over three hundred and sixty years ago started with just fourteen ex-cosmologists with the belief that healing magic could and should be better. Over that period of time the field of medicine has been revolutionized several times over. Traditionally reserved for clerics, “Clerical” magic was adopted by Opus Nii and has evolved into something far more powerful.

Using they’re vast knowledge in herbs and medicines as well as they’re own branch of clerical magic, dubbed ‘Medical Magics’; Opus Nii has become known as the first and best doctors in all of Fou Lu.

There are four primary Opus Nii hospitals, one in each content, however , Opus Nii’s headquarters is located in Valanthus on the southern coast; it's a beautiful structure who’s façade is constructed from the whitest marble. The building is eight stories high and one thousand feet wide, serving as both an educational center for doctors and a hospital for the sick and injured.

Opus Nii’s philosophy is the continual development of Medical magics and the belief that all injuries are to be treated. Doctors will/must treat saints and murderers alike.

Leadership: Opus Nii is run by the Chief of Doctors who, while being an excellent doctor spends the majority of his/her time with administrative tasks rather then the practice of Medical magics. There is also the Chief of Medicine who is in charge of all doctors who specialize in the medical treatment of patients (herbs, magical medicines, etc.) while the Chief of Surgical is in charge of all doctors who specialize in the surgical aspect of Medical magic; both answer to the Chief of Doctors.

Hierarchy: Opus Nii’s Candidates: Hand picked from the best applicants, these candidates are put through a rigorous six month boot camp; those who pass become students.

Students: It takes a decade to graduate from Opus Nii’s educational system.

Post–Graduates: Are generally treated like dirt within hospitals, having to work insane hours and do the majority of the grunt work.
Physician – After three years a Post–Graduate is able to hold the title of a, while still new to the world of Medical magics physicians have far greater responsibility.

Doctor: After ten years of being a physician, the title of Doctor is earned. This is not taken lightly amount Doctors of Opus Nii and those that make it this stage are highly respected.

Specialist: After spending years with a specific subset within their specialty Doctors often specialize in that subject. (i.e. disease treatment or muscle repair surgery)

Chief: There are three chief positions for Opus Nii, all of which are coveted and the goal of all within the organization.

Relationships: Opus Nii has excellent relationships with all organizations, kingdoms and city states. However, their relationship with Derendil is neutral as the kingdom does not approve of the use of magics.
