This year's IoE awards was intense, with each nomination being as fantastic and creative as the next. The choices were large in some categories, making it an even harder vote. But after five days and a few hours all the votes are in, the numbers counted and triple checked and we have the Winners.
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, we look forward to seeing even more creative works from you guys this year!
This year?s 'Best World Plot Story' is a bit of tricky category as the World Plots have yet to come to full fruition, in fact it?s still just starting. None the less, we had six very well written stories up for nomination in this category. Circle in the Flame, Body of a God, Another Day in Vannen's Dungeon; of which were authored or co-authored by Slipstream. Jailbreak which is the beginning of what seems to be a very promising plotline. The as usual, well written An Illogical Collection of Names, Dates, Times, and Tales ? authored by Logical. And my very own Cause and Effect.
The votes for this category were neck and neck all the way ? even after counting the last ballot. As a result we have a tie in this category.

The first of two winning nominations in this category is Body of a God, the story of why a God was forced into mortality. The second is Cause and Effect, which explores the inner workings of Ercus?s economic backbone, Shid?al , the people within it and how they are tied to changes occurring in Tyranoth.
This year?s ?Best Solo Story? category had a whopping ten nominations. Each one being an excellent read, the nominations in this category were as follows. Heart of Secrets, A Mother's Gift, Lost Histories of Fou Lu, Body of a God, A New Path, Already Well Trodden, Wrath , Gravedigger, The Race, An Old Woman & delicious ambiguity.

This year?s ?Best Solo Story? had many varied votes go into it, the winner is delicious ambiguity; a different kind of tale about love & magic.
The nominations in this category are some of the best stories and some the newest stories that IoE has to offer and such it isn?t too surprising that ?Best Co-Op Story? was a battleground of votes and had to be re-counted several times to ensure no mistakes were made. Another Day in Vannen?s Dungeon, authored by icelandican and Slipstream. December Knight, a story written by several of our great authors ? Atma , Abominari Breden & iD. The Hunt for Selena ? which is our new author, Selena?s, first time writing a Co-Op short story at IoE. Then there is Dragons, the story that was started almost two years ago and is undeniably one of the most recommended reads here at IoE. And finally, For A Moment, That Was War ? the newest of the Co-Op entries, authored by Abominari Breden and me (God69in).
It took me nearly an hour to decide which story to vote for in this category and from what I?ve heard from other member?s, I wasn?t the only one who chose carefully. While it was impossible to tell who would win during the voting process there is now a clear winner.

For A Moment, That Was War; a chilling tale about two of Fou Lu?s most written about characters, clashing for their lives. Never before has a story been written about a duel between two archmages.
?Best/Original Male Character? had four of the most unique male?s in Fou Lu. Vannen, self proclaimed Leader of Men and jailer of a God. Yvorrym, a powerful archmage who has seen the best and worst times of Fou Lu. Jordan, a man forced to endure the horrors that life has thrown at him. And Jubthorn Brombrizzle, a simple and friendly ogre who could crush you without even breaking a sweat.

I?m pleased to annonce the winner is none other than Sibhat Vannen!
?Best/Original Female Character? had four of the most different women in Fou Lu. Selena, a deserter of the Haven military. Ghnynee, a goblin blue-collar worker with a noticeable inferiority complex. Leilani, a most unique character with a rather dark childhood ? earns a living by stripping regularly at a brothel. And Isabel, the archmage solider turned healer with five hundred years of history.
