Here at IoE, we tend to enjoy receiving emails from other writing or gaming and media sites, requesting an affiliation with our site. Here are some things that we look for in our affiliates:

Creativity. People here would know that we're real big fans of creative people and sites. Your site has to be creative and/or innovative. We really are attracted to shiny, pretty sites, as well as creepy, cool looking sites. As long as it's creative, we'll probably be intrigued.

Unique hits and a decent amount of members in your forums. Affiliating with your site should be beneficial to us, as we would be to yours. Now, we don't expect hundreds upon hundreds of these things. All we really need in reference to this is at least some regular flow of traffic. It only makes sense, right?

Linkage. Islands of Elements needs a link on just about every page on your site. It doesn't really matter to us whether it's a text or an image link. If there's a text link to IoE in your navigation bar, you're set, is basically what we mean.

Nice Webmaster. Mean people suck. :D It's true. We all know it! It's much more pleasant to deal with someone who doesn't hate everything! I try to be as chipper and friendly as physically possible, and I generally expect about the same in return!
