The Dilosian Empire
An innovative power splintered from the Red Empire that lays claim to the lands south of the Matune Desert in Deisach and several Psychic islands nearby. Home to both the Boldragoth Academy of Magic and the Order of the Enlightened, this empire accepts and encourages the growth of both magic and technology.
Keldremad
A small, meritocratic splinter of the Red Empire that controls most of the Psychic Islands and some parts of Andriath that had formerly belonged to the Dragina Empire. The lives of its citizens are dictated by three spheres of life into which they are born. Keldremad places great emphasis on magic and is considered a top power in magical research.
The Holy Empire of Althena
An intensely religiously-based power that only holds direct control over Junon but has millions of devoted followers around Fou Lu. They have combined worship of all five elements into one to create a unique and diverse following. Althenians are highly averse to technological advancement and instead focus on magical strength--a worldview that has put them at ends with several other empires.
Tyranoth
A cosmopolitan empire that holds the western portion of Ercus. Its citizens are amongst the most diverse of any other empire, and it is not unlikely to find elves walking alongside ogres and engaging in casual conversation. The empire is often hailed for the advancements of medical research conducted at the University of Tyranoth.
The Dwarven Empire
An empire favored by the god Dio that commands an army superior to most others. Stretching across Deisach, the empire has risen from the ashes of the Seekers' destructive ways 500 years ago. They embrace magic and technology equally and act harshly to those who are in opposition to either.
The Elven Empire
Stretching most of the continent of Valanthus, the empire is inherently populated by elves, though the occasional human or half-elf can be found strolling about. Highly religious, the elves favor art and music and worship to Volkain. While they have a passion for magic, they do not totally shun technology but also do not openly seek it.
Derendil
A technology-centric empire that spans Andriath from south of the Neftara River to the souther shores of Sohar. Many of the technological advancements of Fou Lu can be attributed to thinkers within Derendil, including the advancement of trains, gears, and even simple forms of electricity.
