How do I join?
It's easier than one would think. First, you should read the Rules page, and then continue to
read several important things on the entire site, like the Religion page, or the Elements pages
. Then join the Forum, and post a joining thread in the
Novice's Slate. Several moderators will critisize your story until
they feel it has reached a certain perfection.
How do I join the forum?
That's easy. Simply go http://www.islandsofelements.com/forums/
and click register.
Can I create my own race of people?
There are so many Races on the world of IoE, that it is no longer necessary for members to create
new races. There are plenty to choose from that you
will have an enjoyable and creative character, regardless.
How come there isn't a Lightning Element?
There is, kind of. The Air Element works as the winds, the thunder, and the climate control.
There are also spells that have to do with Lightning, so there you go.
Can I create my own town?
Absolutely. We currently have a list of cities that are already on Fou Lu, but have yet to be described. Or, if you don't want to go that route,
you are more than welcome to help fill in the empty spots of the world.
Take a look at the Orb of All Knowing on the forum for the Cities thread.
On the site, the ones currently completed are here: Cities
What's the money system in the world?
Check out the recently developed Currency page to understand the currency in Fou Lu.
Something about the storyline confuses me. What should I do?
Ask a question in the Orb of All Knowing(In the Forum) if it has something to do about the world in general, including races, flora/fauna,
plate techtonics, or something else. However, if it has something to do with a character or what they are currently doing, please ask those sort of
questions in the Behind the Words forum.
How do I join up with someone in a story?
Type up a proposal inside the Stone Circle inside the forum.
Ask if anyone wants to join your quest, and then do so by roleplaying in the Azure Storybook.
What's the difference between the Azure and Crimson Storybooks?
The Azure Storybook is for collaborative stories between you and another member of the site. You could team up with as many members as you'd like,
theoretically, but for the most part its usually best to keep the party somewhat small. The
Crimson Storybook
is for those who want to write a story
by themselves. We also have the Tomes
, which is for shorter, more classic-style roleplaying posts. The Tomes are a good place to get rid of writer's block.
Any other questions? Ask in the Forum!
