Artifacts are all over the surface of Fou Lu. Some are of great power, created by the gods themselves. Others are just shiny rocks people picked up and considered holy for some reason or another. Many artifacts of both sorts are scattered across this nice little planet of ours, so because of that we took it upon ourselves to create an inventory of those that matter or don't. Periodically updated incase new ones are discovered or catalogued, or even both. So let's get started shall we?
The Eye of Volkain
Not long after the fall of the Red Empire, the world in chaos, a girl approached the Council of Althena that ruled over the Elves. Emperor Elfking had long been missing, though the Council had told no one. This girl, Allayna Volinem, showed the Council a metallic disc. The disc was about eight inches in diameter, an inch thick, with a silvery shine. In the middle of the disk was a gem, a pale blue with streaks of white.
Carved into the surface of the disc were Elven runes, the written language Volkain created for his children. It proclaimed "Bestowed to the Ruler of the Elves, So He may watch His Children, The Holy Orb and His Word as a seal, To return the Elven Empire to glory." The Council sealed the meeting chamber once the inscription was read and they questioned Allayna on how she came upon the Holy Orb of Volkain and this strange disc. She said that Volkain had given her the gift to prove herself as the rightful heir to the Elven throne.
Some say that Volkain spoke to the Council of Althena and substantiated Allayna's claims, while other say the Council members could simply feel the power of their God from the relic. Allayna was proclaimed Empress of the Elves, and the Volinem Dynasty was established. Allayna mounted the disc on a five-foot, four-inch staff so that it was six feet in all. Because of the inscription the relic became known as the Eye of Volkain, through which he could watch his people. The staff is carried still today by Emperor Nervan Volinem, a symbol of the Dynasty and his right to rule.
