Of all the Gods there is only one that remembers Primus, the All-Father: Althena. She was a wife to Primus, and she became the second most powerful being in all of Existence. With power came wisdom and now Althena is wise enough to sit back and watch her children, content to only step in when Fou Lu itself is in danger. Otherwise the Mother does her best not to interfere.

First among all other beings Althena knew Existence before Time. Her power grew immensely as she languished with Primus and waited for true Existence to begin. When the rush of excitement occurred Althena remained passive, unlike the Elemental Gods. She knew the fate of Fou Lu and all its inhabitants. Althena wept for many years as a terribly occurrence approached. Finally it came and Althena’s tears were finished, she had readied herself for her new duty. Primus left, the memories the Elemental Gods had of him taken as well, and Althena inherited Fou Lu.

Althena knew all of this was coming because she is Fate. All possibilities, all occurrences, all chances exist within Althena. Her personal Realm of Existence is simply another embodiment of her form, one that holds the key to Fate itself. When the threads of Fate begin to fray, such as the destiny of Nol to be the next emperor of Dilosia, she must fix things. Rein inherited Nol’s destiny for reasons only the Mother will know and he eventually had to be put to a stop before he destroyed Fou Lu. Such wayward threads create problems in the great weaving of history, and Althena must correct them.

She is the weaver of fate. She keeps the fate of each individual, a small thread that come together for a greater whole. The woman who has appeared as many things: a beautiful young creature, an old wise crone, any race, any age, any culture, but always female. Althena is not bound by the rules that limit the other Gods; she is not bound by the rules of Existence at all. She is directly connected to Primus and, should the Thoughts of Fou Lu ever begin to unravel, she could summon Him back. Althena is one of the last connections to the Oldest Times left in Fou Lu and she shall stay with it until Unity or Destruction. This is her duty.
